About Our Company
Home Remedy Solutions is a home-based business with two divisions: Lee's Candles and Grandma Betty's. Both branches of the business produce high-quality body care items for wholesale and retail.
Betty Lee, who has owned and run the busines for 16 years now, first found out about ear candles while working at a health store. Totally dubious about these strange, tapered "candles," she began looking for a book on the subject and was surprised to find none. She read through the instructions and tried them out on a friend, who was delighted with the results. After seeing the improvement on her friend, Betty set out to make her own candles. It took several months to find the right materials and several years to establish a procedure for manufacturing them at the highest quality and lowest price so that we can currently provide the greatest value to our customers. Over time, Betty has continued to develop further candling products to enhance the experience including bibs, pillows, and a book with over ten years of research behind it.
She was also on the lookout for other body care products that she could develop personally into a high quality products for her customers. One thing that she found frustrating over the years was the lack of unscented lip balms available to people. Her interest in all-natural products inspired her to try making her own lip balm, without the scent, to satisfy her own need. This brought her to developing an all-natural, unscented lip butter that receives rave reviews from almost everyone who tries it.
After manufacturing the lip butter for several years, she came across another product at a craft show that intrigued her--lotion bars. These bars can easily be confused with soap but are actually lotion in a bar. She fell in love with them and once again began the process of finding the best ingredients and process for manufacturing her own. After some trial and error, she finally hit upon our current recipe and procedure to produce her all-natural, soothing lotion bars in a variety of pleasant scents. The HRS division, Grandma Betty's, came into being. The focus is a variety of moisturizing items for the body and lips and includes Grandma Betty's body butter bars, lip butter, and bug away (an all-natural, moisturizing bug repellant in a roll-up stick).
